ReplyDelete"She doesn't get into the trash. She doesn't counter surf. She doesn't
ReplyDeletechew everything in sight. She doesn't get into mischief just because she
doesn't have anything to do at any given time." ha ha ha ... she is DEFINITELY not a Lab. ;-)
I think shelters label all large dogs either Lab mixes or Shepherd mixes, no matter what the heck they look like.
I thought our recent fence install was a fortune, but it wasn't anywhere near 25K - that's just nuts! What was it made out of, platinum?
The x-pens and garden stakes was a wonderful idea. I love how you set it up, and it can be easily moved if need be too. I bet that is a great idea for people who live in communities that don't allow fencing.
LOL - you cracked me up with that Lab statement. And the fence one, too. Thank you for being as stunned as I was by that quote. Since no one else batted an eye at it, I thought I was living in the last century thinking it was more than a little unreasonable. To be fair, we picked a "fancy" panel (and we need a lot of it) but at $1,100 per 8 feet, I thought I was going to throw up. :o
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with x-pens is, Bella's a big girl - one or two of them wouldn't really offer her anything and, at the regular $60+ per pen, it can also be cost-prohibitive. I found them for less than $40 during a sale and stocked up. If you think of it on its own, it seems like a lot of money but if you think of it compared to the cost of any permanent fence, it turns into a real bargain.
