That's when we know Maggie's "done" - she just plops down in the snow and lies there. (Maggie, btw, is my neighbor's dog but she and I have a little thing for each other. ;)
I wasn't sure how Bella would do in the snow but she loves it. I think if a dog is introduced to it (and the cold) young enough, they do okay but if they've never experienced real cold before, they're not likely to enjoy it. Maggie's coat, of course, changes things up a bit and she much prefers the cold to the heat of summer.
This was taken quite some time ago when I was just learning how to photograph dogs. I have about 452,263 bad pics of Bella and Maggie and about 3 that came out okay. This is one of those three. ;)
Oh, Julie, her whole body was in the snow! She LOVES it. (Probably a lot more than she likes summers around here what with that gorgeous thick coat of hers. ;)
Look at that beautiful face! What a great capture!

So cute, relaxing in the snow. We love snow too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty picture! I can't believe she is just laying the snow. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!
ReplyDeleteDachshund Nola
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSince we dont have snow here, I just wonder if Georgia would ever lie down on it. She's not good with cold and is a daily sunbather.
ReplyDeleteOMG! What a perfect picture!
ReplyDeleteMaggie's a very pretty girl - and easy to take nice photos of - if only because she's not moving at full speed all. the. time. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe're all missing the snow this year - winter's just not the same without it.

ReplyDeleteOh she is. And has the personality to match. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is. She's "show dog" material. And has such a lovely nature.

ReplyDeleteThank you. It's all in the subject matter. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, she is a beauty. And she loves me too ao I can lots of hugs and kisses whenever she sees me. Best part of doggie friends. :)
ReplyDeleteI know, right? That's one dog's face you really don't have to worry about smooching. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sage. Boy, we better not let Maggie see this thread or there'll be no living with her afterwards. ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could pet her!
ReplyDeleteDon't you though? Her fur is so soft and lush, smooching her head is a real treat. And the fact that she loves it is the best part. :)
