When
my friend, Cindy, and I got together at the end of December to photograph some of the dogs available for adoption at
Buddy Dog Humane Society, we got in 11 sessions - 11 dogs. Between then and now, 5 of those dogs have been adopted! At this rate, we have a better batting average for adoptions of the dogs we
haven't featured here. ;)
Today, I'd like to take a moment to celebrate the wins, the dogs who found their forever homes, the ones who keep hope alive, the ones who prove there are families out there looking for dogs as wonderful as these. I'm just thrilled to have had the opportunity to spend a day playing with them.
So kick back, put your feet up and enjoy the awesomeness of happy dogs.

Happy tails, pups! May all your days be as much fun as this one was.
Those are great photos!
ReplyDeleteLook at Annie go! Glad these guys were able to find a nice forever home!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great outcome! So happy for all the sweet dogs and their new parents :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leslie! The photos are terrific!
ReplyDeletethese are great pix. it's so nice that you did this for the pups. shelters & rescues often have so many needs, but the biggest need is to get the dogs into homes. this is such a great way to help with that.
ReplyDeleteThese guys looks awesome. My partner snuck a peek on your blog and said the beagle looked so cute.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope there are more adoptions to come so that all of them get to have their forever home.

YAY! All beautiful pups
ReplyDeleteDachshund Nola
Isn't that great! I love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh my word! Mum would have them all - given half a chance - and a house five times bigger! Deccy x
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful and happy new beginning for these guys!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! So glad to hear that many of them are adopted and hope the rest will find their forever home as soon as possible too.
ReplyDeleteTerrific pictures of terrific dogs! So glad so many found their forever homes, paws crossed that they all do!
ReplyDeleteThat's what makes it all worthwhile. Thanks for what you do to help those dogs!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job guys - it's always great to celebrate a happy ending :)
Have a fun day,
Your pal Snoopy :)
So happy that they found furever homes!

Thanks, Jay. We had a blast taking them.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she fabulous!?! I have a series of her I'm going to use in an upcoming WW. She didn't stop moving long enough for me to get a great picture but I was still able to capture her zest for life. :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's good to remember why we're doing this. :)
ReplyDeleteThank YOU, Cindy for arranging the whole thing. We'll have to do it again soon (or hook up with that other rescue you mentioned.)
ReplyDeleteBTW - reactive dog info coming your way soon - I haven't forgotten.
Thanks lauren,
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a lead from Pup Fan and the interview she did with Seth Casteel from Second Chance Photos. Have camera, will travel. :)
We're hoping that for all the dogs, too, Haopee. (Tell your partner that the Beagle was my friend Cindy's favorite dog there for a while, too. He's full grown, too, so he's never going to grow into those ears! Aren't they wonderful!? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Nola!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bassetmomma. I thought we could all use a happy pix Saturday for once. :)
ReplyDeleteYup, same boat here, believe me. A friend of mine swears that if he ever wins the lottery, he's going to set me up with a no-kill sanctuary. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sage, it's always nice when we win one (or 5!), isn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteIt is always good to see them adopted. I just wish we didn't get a new one in for everyone that goes out. There's a bigger issue here that needs to be addressed. In the meantime, though, it's a great day when they find their very own home.
ReplyDeleteHi Theresa (and Pru!) We'll just keep trying until they all have homes, right? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rumpydog - you said it - those happy dogs - that's why we do this. And we'll keep doing it until they are all "home".
ReplyDeleteHi Snoopy, thanks. It's important to celebrate when we win - there's so much bad out there that if we don't remember the happy reason we do this, we'd all burn out too fast. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
Hi Higgins! Thanks - looks like they're happy, too, doesn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteYay for happy stories! :)
ReplyDeleteSo floppy... yes, lovely.
ReplyDeleteWell, don't worry. My pack has all their paws crossed that they get good homes.
Huggies and Cheese,
Haopee
Wow - I am waaaay behind on my comments this week. Thanks for featuring this post in your post. It's always a good feeling to spread the joy of adoption. :)
